Laurie Adelman is a nurse and health educator, a shyness life coach, and a child advocate who is passionately devoted to teaching parents and teachers how to interact with shy children in a way which brings out a child’s social best. Her methods are extremely effective with shy adults as well as shy children.
Ms. Adelman earned a B.S.N. in Community Health and a M.S. in Family Health and Health Education. She was recognized, with honors, for writing a thesis on learning theory in which she described a method enabling individuals to retain information and incorporate new skills into everyday life.
Laurie Adelman has written countless educational and inspirational articles, newsletters, brochures, and medical abstracts. Ms. Adelman has designed and carried out numerous education programs for children and adults and received an award for Outstanding Contributions in Health Education.
The study of shyness has been a passion of Ms. Adelman for more than 25 years. She writes straight from the heart, sharing personal experiences from her own life while enriching her descriptions with the stories of others.
